Why Your Law Firm Doesn't Appear in ChatGPT

First check what the question is asking

An absence is meaningful only in context. Was the question about a service your firm provides? Did it name the relevant city or jurisdiction? Did the answer list any businesses at all? A general explanation of divorce is not necessarily a failed firm recommendation.

Run a small group of realistic variants and preserve them, including inconvenient results. Do not add the firm's name to every question and call the resulting mentions unbranded visibility.

Inspect what can actually be verified

Review the relevant page's status, indexability, internal links, and readable text. Check that the practice and location are explicit. Inspect third-party pages cited in the answer for stale or contradictory information. These findings identify work, but do not establish the cause of a missing mention.

If the answer describes the firm incorrectly, save the exact text and identify public sources that might contain the same error. Correct information at its origin where possible rather than publishing a new page that repeats the mistaken phrase.

Choose a bounded intervention

Address a concrete issue before producing more content. If the firm has no accessible employment-law description, improve that page. If it has one but the contact pathway is broken, fix the pathway. If no obvious defect exists, continue observing instead of inventing an explanation.

Set a review date and compare the same question panel. The result may stay unchanged. A trustworthy report should still say what improved for users and what remains uncertain.

Is absence proof of a technical block?

No. It is one possibility among several. Inspect access directly instead of inferring a block from a missing name.
